Hey guys,
I need to get on to leveling Marauda to gain cross skills for my Monk and thought I may as well have a go at tanking a few low level dungeons. I can find guides that go through the Marauda skill descriptions and cool downs but I need something that goes "when you hit a room with 5 baddies, hit them with this skill to hold them on you and if one escapes and runs for your healer, do this skill to rectify the situation". <-- basically, Tanking for Dummies.
Does anyone have any links or want to have a crack at writing me something?

One mob, do your normal rotation
Two mobs, one overpower, then do your normal rotation while switching
Three mobs, one overpower, one flash, one overpower, do your normal rotation while switching
Mob runs off, tomahawk, tomahawk, tomahawk

Pretty much if you're playing Marauder you'll wanna run in (after you have numbered the mobs) and start with either Overpower or Flash then begin your rotation.
tip, hotkey your symbols button so that when you press the hotkey it will open all the symbols and u can start clicking them, then again IIRC you're on PS3? not sure how that works, you can ask Padraic for some tips, he's probably one of the best PS3 tanks I've ever seen.

Basically all of the above works.
Overpower and flash works good to start with, but try not to spam it too much (both your MP and TP aren't very high for longer engagements, so you'll run out quickly if you spam it).
Best way is to throw in a flash/overpower after every rotation of your 1-2-3 combo (Heavy Swing, Skull Sunder, and Butcher's Block).
Remember to mark your enemies, so the dps can focus, but also remember that certain DoTs or AOE attacks will still gain agro on the other enemies.
You will soon find out that healers gain a lot of agro from protect and healing of other party memebers, so pay a close attention to the agro meter on the mobs!
Also, keep in mind that you can check the agro on each monster by targetting it (the agro meter will show in the party list), and you can split your 1-2-3 combo to different enemies, with the third and final one (one that generates the most emnity) on a monster that you have the least emnity on (or where the 2nd highest emnity party member is close to stealing agro). Unfortunately though, you won't get the third and final skill (Butcher's Block) until you hit Level 30, so until then, you're stuck with just 1-2.
For example:
Monster 1:
Your agro: ||||||
Party member that has the closest agro after you: ||
Monster 2:
Your agro: ||||||
Party member that has the closest agro after you: ||||
Monster 3:
Your agro: ||||||
Party member that has the closest agro after you: |||||
So what you'd want to do is to use the first skill of your combo on the first monster, then your second skill of your combo on the second, and then use the final one finishing the combo on the third one where you are close to losing agro.
Hopefully that makes some vague sense!

Now that I've sat down and read that properly it's actually really helpful, thank you.
These things like "check your agro meter" (there's an agro metre?) might seem simple but for a first time mmo'er the blindingly obvious is new territory.
You guys have been great with all my retarded questions and I really appreciate it :)
