Honestly the books themselves are pretty cool/fun

The problem is the Atma phase... and then 1500 myth for each book...which ends up being 30 brayflox runs just for 1..

i need to add more dots to show how annoyed i am.

Just started on mine. Massive massive disagree here.

One challenge is finishing a fate that's miles away from base and closes ultra quickly and spawns rarely. NOT a challenge, you have to sit and wait and hope and pray, fucked me off coz I waited an hour and no spawn. Today I log in and it's there, ride over and get bronze, didn't work.

Another one has so much HP in a zone no one else goes so if I'm not camping it I wont have time to kill him. The list goes on and on.

None of the monsters on the kill list are challenging.

None of the dungeons are challenging.

And leve quests? What the actual fuck, one was level 40.

This is worse than grinding atma, but I'm still going to do it because at some point i'll have no choice. Not to mention I do want the weapon. This whole chain is the worst design ever known to an MMO.

:rek: :rek: :rek: The idea of fun of whoever came up with this is probably like North Korea's idea of freedom.

Played plenty, they all had flaws but none this bad.

Keep quoting dumb shit wales, it suits you.

The entire problem is that there is no challenge whatsoever.

Nah just probably not FFXI in which this sort of design wouldn't have had anyone blink at. In fact it probably would have been nicer than the AF questing in FFXI :D I never completed it and got told to learn Japanese by JP players who didn't want to help :(

I also get the mildest of impressions that Fufu and Wales aren't the best of friends???

Get over yourself tbh. If you're defending this system then it says all I need to know.

And no I didn't play much FFXI

Completed a challenge dungeon as healer. Didn't heal once, not once, and the group was all lowbies not synced 50s. Yeah, "challenge".

FFXI Logic.

Oh you're Lvl 18 and ready to unlock sub classes? go kill these mobs that drop the items I need.. oh btw you can't solo them and not many people need the quest anymore.

Oh you want airship license to one island? I heard Yuhtunga jungle is nice these days... well! walk your ass to each nation and kill these guys for me, we could fly you to each capital but NAH MATE.

PLEASE LOOK FORWARD TO IT.

I'm mostly defending this system because you seem so intent on attacking it. It is flawed in that it is boring for the player. But, just like the fact that the atma farm will literally never actually take three years, you are missing the point of it. That is what I'm addressing here. I have a thing about hyperbole - it is WONDERFUL in humor, but you aren't trying to be funny, you actually seem to believe the shit you're spouting. I take issue with this.

Completed a challenge dungeon as healer. Didn't heal once, not once, and the group was all lowbies not synced 50s. Yeah, "challenge".

So, you're hung up on the word challenge? Seems to me like the system is achieving its actual design intent admirably; It has you doing content that you otherwise wouldn't be doing. On an entirely related note, this means the end game players spread out over the world, which is a boon for new player retention.

Case in point: You just helped three lowbies through a low level dungeon. Operation: success.

It's not a challenge. That doesn't mean that it is poor design, bad for the game, or literally hitler.

If you can't do any more than troll maybe you should go back to GP forums where it's welcomed. Got nothing left to say to you.

I'm accused of trolling....once I stop trolling, and start arguing points.  :rek:  Yeah, we are done here.
