Hi guys~
I made a simple graphic to describe the way how to do Garuda Extreme In the Tornado sisters phase with JP server strategy

A: MT with Garuda

B: OT with Suparna

C: All dpsers have to go C and one dpser burn CDs (even with damage reduction / mitigation skill) to hold aggro on Chirada and melee use LB if had any, kill down asap.

Tanking dpser have to watch the "Slip Stream", others dpsers stay behind of Chirada.

After Chirada did "Friction", A targeting sign will show out on tanking dpser, on that time all other dpsers stack with him for sharing "Down Burst" damage. SE made Chirada's "Down Burst" damage can be sharing for a reason. (Dpsers could also stack after Chirada's "Slip Stream")

Chirada don't hit hard...2 points only: dodge "Slip Stream" and share "Down Burst" ... simple enough...

D: Healers. Or, Healers can go C in case tanking dpser losing aggro but need stand close to the center.

================================================
After killed Chirada (Garuda and Suparna switch position when Chirada on half HP)

A: MT with Suparna

B: OT with Garuda

C: Dpsers on Suparna at A then Garuda at B

D: Healers. (if Healers were at C before just stay)

MT don't need provoke Garuda back just simply swap MT and OT position after.

================================================
Benefit with this method
1. MT don't need dealing with "Double Wicked Wheel".
(NA server method MT need dealing at least 1 "double wicked wheel", even more coming after depend on dps speed at Chirada and OT's "provoke" might need use on Spiny.)

2. Melee dps class don't need worry about "double wicked wheel" too. never waste dps and time while waiting "double wicked wheel".

3. Healers have no stress on MT.

That's how I done it before the transferred to NA server, Great success rate~~
Please don't make Garuda Extreme become Extreme...

It's a good method for pugs and less geared parties. A lot can go wrong though if not everyone knows exactly what is going on. I still prefer the Suprana only method though since it's straight forward and faster.

It's depend on style, "high risky and faster" or "smoother and slower". Suprana only method is faster but have lots limitation: Range dpsers only, and if someone got weakness that will be hard to survive Aerial Blast after the sisters phase. Also, like you said need to have a geared parties especially tank. That JP strategy already works on DF in JP servers, and makes my Garuda to be the first killed on EX-Primals weekly. There is no point to be the faster way if wiped...right~

I'm with Krista on this one. I've cleared Garuda ex 4 or 5 times now, and every time it was using Sup only method. The key is simply to have a good balance between melee and ranged so that DPS doesn't have to stop when the melee have to get clear of WW.

As monk I now run with the MT during tornado phases, quickly get two rotations and DOT's in, wait for brown wind, run through tornado to the ranged and healers. There I wait for WW, and as soon as it's gone I use Shoulder Tackle and either help finish off Sup if the ranged haven't done so already, or DPS and DOT Garuda if Sup is already dead. Once I jump back on Garuda, I'd try and get two rotations with DOT's in, wait for brown wind, then run back to the healers again to avoid Garuda's second WW and to prepare for DPS-ing Spiny for when she jumps.

brown wind

Teehee maturity.

I think the difference between these methods are if you have more than one melee or not. Everyone knows this fight sucks for Monks and Dragoons and I think the Sup only method is a good one when you are full of range. Otherwise, Geraldo's strat.

I think that's the main issue. If we had full attendance in raid group 3, then I'd say the Japanese strat would be best, since we'll have 3 melee DPS. Unfortunately, we have had to fill the ranks via either PF or through other FC members, so we haven't been able to pick a strat and get good at it.

I am working on my 3rd primal weapon, and I genuinely think the static can down them all in a single saturday, as long as everyone turns up and learn the fights properly.
